It was kind of a hunting/fishing preserve, but it also functioned to keep the area from getting built up. It was certainly something else! Winters could be kind of crazy because it was at a slight elevation, ~1,700 feet. We could have several inches of snow when the nearby town had hardly anything.
It was a fun play. A classmate's mom made most of the costumes, and they were fantastic. And there were a lot of songs. I probably still have the songbook somewhere.
