I loved the rest of this series, Sam. The arc kept me hooked the whole time, the character dynamics were spot-on for your allegory, and there were so many memorable moments.
This line, "It's time to stop trying to stand in your own strength" made my heart swell. A profound and needed reminder that we can't find all our strength alone and on our own.

Exciting in that I felt very energized and alive as I reacquainted myself with fiction, but difficult due to the challenge of portraying the subject matter allegorically. Lots of careful tweaking to get it right and some emotional wrangling to handle the parts that are autobiographical.
